This Tuesday, the Copa Sudamericana met some teams that will integrate the group stage with those already qualified directly. For the first phase of the tournament, Penãrol beat River Plate-URU, 4-0, at Estádio Domingo Burgueño Miguel.
River Plate-URU returns to the field on Monday, when they face Deportivo Maldonado, at 5 pm (Brasília time), at the Saroldi Stadium, for the sixth round of the Uruguayan Championship. Meanwhile, Peñarol duels with Torque, on Sunday, at 8 pm.
Penãrol was not aware of the home team and in 21 minutes it made it 3 to 0. Matias Arezo opened the scoring, after receiving from Laquintana. Afterwards, Arezo increased to 16, Arezo took the penalty and converted. Five minutes later, Pedro Milans scored the third.
In the second half, Matias Arezo scored Peñarol’s fourth goal, leaving his hat-trick in the game, in the 30th minute.
