Recovered from surgery, Conte will take charge of Tottenham against Milan in the Champions League

Tuesday was good news for fans of the Tottenham. After being sidelined recovering from surgery, coach Antonio Conte returned to the sidelines before the decisive duel against Milanpela Champions League.

On his return, the coach already participated in the press conference before the elimination match. Conte said he had recovered from the operation and was ready to lead his team.

“Now I’m better and I’ve got my energy back. I still have to put on a little weight, but otherwise everything is fine, ”she revealed. “Being present is totally different. Thanks to all the staff who did a very good job. And also the players. Being without a coach for three weeks was not easy.”

The Italian was recovering from gallbladder surgery in early February. Conte even anticipated his return, but decided to dedicate more time to his recovery. The coach evaluated his return and designed the match against the Milan team.

“It’s important for me to work with my players, stick together and work with the team and prepare for the game. Now I’m back, I’m very happy and we have an important game. It’s a vital game for us because we want to go to the next phase”, he said.

In the first leg, Tottenham were beaten 1-0 at the San Siro. In order to qualify and advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, the London club needs a positive result at home. The confrontation will take place this Wednesday, at 5 pm (Brasília time).
