American mixed style fighter (MMA) Jon Jones has become the new leader of the best representatives of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), regardless of weight categories. An updated list is available on the organization’s website.

Jones moved up nine spots to eliminate Australian fighter Alexander Volkanovski from the top spot. Russian Islam Makhachev dropped from second to third place.

On March 5, Jones defeated Frenchman Cyril Gan via submission in the first round at UFC 285 in Las Vegas. The American, who returned after a three-year break in his career, won the title of heavyweight champion of the organization.

In total, in MMA, Jones won 27 victories and suffered one defeat. Another fight with his participation was declared invalid. The only loss of an athlete in the UFC happened in December 2009. Then he was disqualified for illegal elbow strikes.
