This Monday, FIFA announced the official poster of the Women’s World Cup 2023, which will be played in New Zealand and Australia in July. Along with nine other custom posters that will be displayed in outdoor installations in host cities for the tournament.
The set of destination posters was created in partnership with the nine host cities to form a unified collection, highlighting iconic and historic landmarks, wildlife and vibrant cultures unique to each city. Furthermore, it was released in time for International Women’s Day.
The general secretary of FIFA, Fatma Samoura, praised the relationship between the works and the theme of the tournament.
βWith just 135 days to go before the start of the tournament, this is another wonderful milestone to celebrate. These posters not only showcase the distinct identities of our nine host cities in Australia and Aotearoa in New Zealand, but also celebrate the tournament’s theme of unity with football at its core,” he said.
The 2023 Women’s World Cup kicks off on July 20 with a match between New Zealand and Norway. O Brazil is in Group F, alongside France, Jamaica and Panama, against whom he will make his debut on the 24th.
The team commanded by Pia Sundhage will have a known opponent at the Worlds. In 2019, in the last edition of the Women’s World Cup, the Brazilians faced France in the round of 16, when they were defeated by 2-1.
