This Monday, the selection of Croatia released the list of the 26 summoned for the duels for the Elimination of the eurocup, which will take place on the 25th and 28th of March. Despite rumors about possible retirement, Modric is present at the call-up.
At the age of 37, Luka Modric is the Croatian national team record holder with 162 appearances. After the dispute of Qatar World Cupin 2022, when Croatia was in third place, the possibility of the midfielder’s retirement began to be aired.
However, the player himself publicly declared that he plans to participate in the League of Nations and reach the final of the European tournament. In this way, Modric will be present in the national team until June of this year, at least.
The first two rounds of the Euro Qualifiers will be played on the 25th and 28th of March. The debut will be against Wales, in Split, Croatia, and the next duel will be against Turkey, in Bursa, away from home.
