Arotzena, eleventh in the European Athletics Indoor Championships

Iker Arotzena was 11th in the long jump at the European Indoor Championships which was held in Istanbul (Turkey) between May 2 and 5.
The athlete from Hondarribia (Gipuzkoa) was eliminated in qualifying round by missing the top eight cut for the final. Arotzena’s best jump was 7.57 metersand it was not worth it to get into the final.
On the other hand, the Greek Miltiadis Tentoglou retained his continental crown with a jump of 8.30 metersand achieved the third consecutive victory in a European. The silver medal went to Thobias Montler who made a jump of 8.19 meters. The bronze medal went to Romanian Gabriel Bitan (8.00 meters).
