On Monday, Corinthians announced the sale of midfielder Araos to Club Necaxa, from Mexico. The negotiation was being made in the last two weeks and was defined with a value well below what the club invested in the athlete.
According to the Sports Gazette, there will be payment of only 1 million dollars (R$ 5.4 million at the current price) for 50% of the rights. With this, Corinthians keeps part of a future sale of the athlete.
“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista and Club Necaxa, from Mexico, reached an agreement for the definitive transfer of midfielder Araos. The negotiation will be for the sale of 50% of the athlete’s economic rights”, informed the Alvinegra board.
This Monday, Araos has already been released by the board to travel to Mexico and undergo medical examinations.
The player arrived at Corinthians in 2019 for approximately R$ 24 million. For the club, he has only taken to the field once in the last three months. In all, he has 61 games and one goal.
