Herrera adds that he feels that at Athletic he has “everything” he needs and that this makes him “suffer even more”.
“I am surrounded by professionals who do not stop showing me their help and support and by incomparable colleagues. On occasions, it has crossed my mind to throw in the towel, but I would not forgive myself for it,” he adds.
“I will continue looking for solutions and working to return to doing what I like the most and return the love of the people around me,” concludes Herrera’s message.
Herrera is currently on leave due to a injury to the semitendinosus muscle of the right legthe fifth muscle problem he has suffered since his return to Athletic last summer.
