CSKA won the first match of the Gagarin Cup playoffs

CSKA defeated Severstal in the first match of the Gagarin Cup playoffs with a score of 5:2

CSKA Moscow won the first match of the first round of the playoffs of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) against Severstal Cherepovets. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

The meeting was held in Moscow at the CSKA Arena and ended with a score of 5:2. Among the winners, Mikhail Grigorenko, Vitaly Abramov (double), Sergey Plotnikov (double) scored goals. The losing team scored Robin Press and Ilya Ivantsov.

The teams meet for the first time in the framework of the Gagarin Cup. The next match will take place on March 4 and will start at 17:00 Moscow time. Clubs play each other up to four victories.

CSKA is the current owner of the Gagarin Cup. Last season, in the final series, the army team turned out to be stronger than Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
