Doctor Vonda Wright says it’s important to stretch for 15 minutes a day
Doctor Vonda Wright explained the rules of stretching for beginners. Her words are quoted by US News.
Wright said stretching is important to do every day for 15 minutes. “For people under 65 years of age, maximum benefit is achieved by slowly stretching the muscles until they are tense but not sore. Once you’re in that state, hold the stretch for 30 seconds without bouncing,” she stressed.

The doctor noted that people over 60 need to hold the stretch for 60 seconds. She added that everyone should take 10 second breaks between sets.
Previously, fitness trainer Anna Egorova named the best exercises to relieve tension in the back. She recommended ‘cat’, wall-to-wall bends, and ‘baby pose’ stretches.
