Trainer Brittany Simon talked about cardio for people of all fitness levels. Her words are quoted by Forbes.

The specialist advised me to introduce running according to the “12-3-30” system into my classes. To do this, the treadmill must be set to an incline of 12 degrees and a speed of at least three miles per hour (4.83 kilometers per hour). “Start with a 5-10 minute warm-up consisting of walking at a leisurely pace with a slight incline of less than three degrees. Then go to three miles per hour and practice for 30 minutes,” Simon explained.

The trainer noted that this type of load is suitable for people not only of any level of training, but also of any age. However, according to her, it is important to consult a doctor before starting training, especially if you have diseases of the joints and the cardiovascular system.

Simon elaborates that the 12-3-30 running system helps to reduce weight and improve muscle tone, and also has a beneficial effect on the condition of the heart and blood vessels. If the load seems too heavy, the trainer advises to reduce the incline of the treadmill and increase it gradually.
