Colombian soccer player James Rodríguez said goodbye this Sunday with an emotional message from his grandmother, Rosa Myriam Gómez, who died on Saturday in the city of Ibagué, Tolima.
“Your love will last forever, I will miss you every day of my life. I love you ”, published the Qatari midfielder Al Rayyan on his account Instagram and Twitter, in a message accompanied by a photo where they appear together and smiling with some balloons in the background.
Gómez died this Saturday, according to the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) in a statement, in which he did not give details of the causes.
“From our institution we send a message of support and condolences to their families and especially to the player of the Colombian National Team,” said the FCF.
The 30-year-old player is currently in Colombia, after being called up for the next matches of the National Team, with which it is understood that he will play on Tuesday in Barranquilla against Paraguay, if there is no setback.
“We wholeheartedly hope they have the strength to face this difficult time,” added the FCF. (D)
