Candidate for the Puskas Award at FIFA’s The Best awards, which takes place this Monday in Paris, striker Richarlison spoke about the lack of definition about the position of coach at the Brazilian Team.
Upon arrival at the ceremony, the number 9 of Brazil in the last World Cup promised support to whoever takes over the vacancy left by Tite after the tournament played in Qatar, last year.

“I support whoever is there. We have to embrace whoever is there, because the national team has not won a World Cup for a long time. I think whoever is there will be prepared so that we can reap good results”, declared the striker.
Since formalizing Tite’s departure in January this year, the CBF has yet to announce a replacement for the post. Foreign names, like the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, are speculated as a priority.
While Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the entity, is still negotiating the arrival of a coach, the CBF will be led on an interim basis by Ramon Menezes, who directs the under-20 team. With him, Brazil won the South American Tournament of the category two weeks ago. The base coach was praised by Richarlison.
“We are on hold. Now we have Ramon Menezes, who was a great player and was champion of the U-20 South American Championship, so I hope he can be successful while coaching the national team”, highlighted the striker.
