Oihana Kortazar and Ainara Urrutia they got on the podium this Sunday Spanish Trail Running Championship. Kortazar, with a time of 4:12:07 champion was proclaimed; Urrutia crossed the finish line in third place with a mark of 4:22:35. Accompanied by Garazi Sampedro, who finished in seventh position, the Durangoko Kirol Taldea took the team gold medal in the women’s race.

The race that had 39.4 kilometers and a positive difference of 2380 meters, started from the Cádiz town of Zahara de la Sierra. In addition to proclaiming the champion and the Spanish Trail Running champion, he gave them the ticket for the Trail Running World Championship preselection which will be held in Innsbruck (Austria) from June 7 to 10.

Oihana Kortazar, unstoppable, stood out from the beginning of the race. Only Júlia Font stood up to her in the early stages, but the defending champion had to retire. Ikram Rharsalla, second classified, came to be one minute from elgetarra but on the last climb, with 700 meters of positive elevation gain, Kortazar made the difference.

The podium in the men’s race they completed it Dimas Pereira First of all, with a time of 3:36:54. The Asturian gave the surprise after beating the international Zaid Ait Malek who had to settle for second place and a time of 3:37:56. The bronze got it Jan Margaret with a mark of 3:39:50.
