The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin appreciated the statement of the Russian striker of the Cypriot “Aris” Alexander Kokorin about the benefits of prison for men. His words are quoted by Match TV.
The specialist said that he did not agree with the words of the football player. At the same time, he stressed that Kokorin could mean a situation in which a person has already gone to prison. “But if you have a head on your shoulders and learn from mistakes, then it’s not at all necessary to bring the case to prison,” Karpin added.
On February 1, Kokorin said that he did not regret having a criminal record. In his opinion, every man would do well to be behind bars.
On October 8, 2018, Kokorin, along with another football player Pavel Mamaev, staged two fights in the center of Moscow. Athletes were prosecuted and spent almost a year in prison.
