Jonas Vingegaard wins in Monte Tegra and leads O Gran Camiño, with Ion Izagirre third

The Danish cyclist Jumbo-Visma Jonas Vingegaard ha cattle this friday the second stage of O Great Way, which has finished in Monte Tegra, and thus leads the Galician race. Vingegaard entered the finish line ahead of the Portuguese from Movistar Ruben Guerreiro and the Gipuzkoan corridor of the Cofidis Ion Izagirrethird in the stage and in the general classification, where he is 31 seconds behind the leader.
Vingegaaard, winner of the 2022 Tour de France, has confirmed the forecasts, and has shown that he is in O Gran Camiño to win. He has attacked in the last port, where he has left his rivals planted to reach the finish line alone, with Guerreiro and Izagirre fighting for second place, which the Movistar cyclist has taken.
The stage has been marked by the escape starring seven men, including Unai Cuadrado (Euskaltel-Euskadi), Josu Etxeberria (Rural Bank) and the Cantabrian cyclist from Euskaltel-Euskadi Antonio Angulo. Vingegaard’s team, the Jumbo, controlled the breakaway, and before starting the penultimate port of the day, the Alto da Cruz da Portela, some 15 kilometers from the finish line, put an end to the adventure of the seven escapees .
Already in Monte Tegra, Vingegaard has attacked two kilometers from the finish, in which he has obtained an advantage of 21 seconds over Guerreiro and 24 over Izagirre, to which must be added the bonus.
