Slovak hockey player “Severstal” Adam Liska said he was used to life in Russia
Striker club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) “Severstal” Adam Lischka explained the decision to stay in Russia. His words are quoted by Izvestia.
The foreign hockey player said that he spent three seasons in the KHL and got used to life in the country. “I play hockey and I can’t do anything else,” he stressed. At the same time, Liska, 23, added that the possibility of playing for the Slovakian national team would depend on public pressure.
The forward began playing in the KHL in 2018, playing for the Slovak Slovan. The following season, he moved to Severstal, where he is at the moment.
On February 20, an anonymous Finnish hockey player admitted that he decided to play in the KHL because he was only interested in money. He called the athletes’ claims that “they came to Russia because of the landscape or borscht” nonsense.
