The UAF assessed the prospects of football players playing in Russia in the Ukrainian national team

The President of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Andriy Pavelko spoke about whether players playing in Russia will appear in the national team of the country. The functionary assessed the prospects of such athletes in an interview with the YouTube channel “Radio NV”.

He stressed that the head coach of the team, Alexander Petrakov, after taking office, said that he would never invite football players from Russia to the national team. “On the very first day he said about it, although no one asked him. This is his position in life, it appeals to me, ”added Pavelko.

Petrakov became the interim head coach of the Ukrainian national team in August. At the helm of the national team, he replaced Andriy Shevchenko.

In the Russian Premier League (RPL), there are two football players who have experience playing for the Ukrainian national team. These are defenders Ivan Ordets and Yaroslav Rakitskiy from Dynamo and Zenit, respectively.
