Bolshunov stressed that after the operation he began to train carefully under the supervision of doctors, but so far they do not allow him to compete. “But I’m slowly returning to my normal training rhythm,” the Russian added.
Bolshunov’s surgery became known on October 16. Then it was reported that the full recovery of the athlete will take about 10 days.
