Former coach of the Russian national boxing team Lebzyak said he would root for Usyk and Lomachenko
Olympic boxing champion and former head coach of the Russian national team Alexander Lebzyak told how he treats Ukrainian boxers Alexander Usik and Vasily Lomachenko. It is reported by Metaratings.
“They are ours, no matter what happens,” the specialist said. He added that he would root for Usyk and Lomachenko against Tyson Fury and Devin Haney respectively.
According to Lebziak, Lomachenko’s chances of success are higher. “But this is not a guarantee of victory, the favorite can always lose and the outsider can lose. Of course, I would like them both to win,” said the coach.
The meeting between Lomachenko and Haney will be held on May 20 in Las Vegas. At stake will be the undisputed WBA Super, WBO, IBF, WBC and The Ring lightweight titles. Usyk will face Fury on April 29 in London. As a result of the fight, the absolute world heavyweight champion according to WBC, WBA-Super, WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring will be determined.
