Russian fighter Islam Makhachev turned to the UFC with a question about the next opponent
Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Islam Makhachev turned to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). “Who is next?” he asked this question in Twitter.
Users in the comments suggested who the Russian could meet in battle. Many have expressed a desire to see a rematch with Australian Alexander Volkanovski in Abu Dhabi or Dagestan. Also among the possible rivals were named Americans Beneil Dariush, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

On February 12, Makhachev defeated Volkanovski at UFC 284 by unanimous decision. He defended the organization’s lightweight title for the first time in October.
In total, in his professional career, Makhachev won 24 victories and suffered one defeat. In the UFC, he spent 14 fights, losing once.
