The Recopa Sul-Americana brings together the current champions of the two main continental competitions in South America. In 2022, Flamengo became three-time champion of Libertadores by beating Athletico-PR in the final, while Independiente Del Valle defeated São Paulo to win the second Sudamericana in its history.
