Dani Alves says he changed his testimony to defend woman who accused him of rape
Brazilian football player Dani Alves has named the reason why he often changed his testimony in the rape case. His words are quoted by ARA.
“The truth is, I wanted to protect this girl. She walked straight towards me. I did not touch this girl, ”said the athlete.
On February 10, Alves admitted to having sex with an alleged rape victim. At the same time, the 39-year-old athlete insists that the consent was mutual, and there was no act of violence on his part.
Alves was arrested on January 20. The alleged victim of the football player reported that he locked her in the bathroom of a nightclub, where he beat and raped her. Doctors confirmed that the girl had injuries indicating resistance.
