France thrashed Kazakhstan 8-0 this Saturday at the Parque dos Príncipes and secured their classification in the European Qualifiers with a show by Kylian Mbappé.
The result takes France to 15 points, in the isolated leadership of group D. Kazakhstan follows with three points, at the bottom.
France did not take long to show good football and just five minutes into the first stage opened the scoring with Mbappé. The shirt 10 of the home team still had time to score twice more, at 11 and 31 minutes, to give his team a wide advantage before the break.
The French pace did not decrease in the second half and after nine minutes Benzema increased the score. The Real Madrid star made another four minutes later, before being substituted. Rabiot in the 29th minute and Griezmann in the 38th minute also shook the net. Mbappé scored again in the 41st minute and gave the final numbers to the French massacre.
Kazakhstan ended its participation in the European Qualifiers. France still faces Finland at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki this Tuesday, at 16:45 (GMT).
