Doctors did not express concerns about the state of the brain of the Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov. New information appeared in the Mash Telegram channel.
According to the source, computed tomography revealed a small focus of clogged blood vessels in the head of the 46-year-old athlete. It is noted that there is no severe cerebral edema. After the operations, the greatest burden fell on Kostomarov’s kidneys and liver, which cannot cope with fluid and a large amount of medication.
Earlier, on February 20, the Shot Telegram channel reported that Kostomarov had a quarter of his brain affected: hemorrhage and hematoma in the frontal lobe. In addition, neoplasms were found in the frontal, right occipital and left parietal regions. His condition was assessed as critically serious.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and influenza B. The figure skater underwent several limb amputations. According to Telegram channels 112 and Mash, Kostomarov’s left foot was amputated, as well as several fingers on both hands.
