No space in palm treesthe Uruguayan Miguel Merentiel was loaned to the Boca Juniors and, on Sunday night, he scored his first goal for the Argentine club in the 3-1 victory over Platense.
The striker made his third appearance for Boca Juniors. After going blank on his debut, he provided an assist in the last round, against Talleres, and now he scored for the first time, in the triumph won at Bombonera, in the 36th minute.

The other goals for Boca Juniors were scored by Jorge Figal, in the 9th minute of the first half, and Norberto Briasco, in the 30th minute of the final stage. Platense’s goal was scored by Nicolás Servetto.
Hired by Palmeiras in May last year, but could only make his debut in July, with the opening of the transfer window. In 2022, Merentiel played just ten games for Verdão and scored two goals.
With competition in the attack, the Uruguayan striker did not have much space in Abel Ferreira’s team this year and, therefore, was loaned to Boca Juniors for one season, with a purchase option clause.
