In a match valid for the 21st round of the German Championship, the Borussia Dortmund received Hertha Berlin at Signal Iduna Park and won 4-1. Adeyemi, Malen, Reus and Brandt scored the home team’s goals this Sunday. Tousart cashed for the capital team.
With the rout, Dortmund overtook Union Berlin and went to second place in the Bundesliga, with 43 points. Now, Edin Terzic’s men have the same score as leader Bayern Munich, who were defeated by Mochengladbach in that round. Borussia’s next game will be next Saturday (25), when the team visits Hoffenhien.
Hertha, on the other hand, remains in a delicate situation in the championship. With 17 points, the team is in 17th place and cannot leave the relegation zone. The next game for the traditional Berlin club will be on Saturday against Augsburg.

The game
Despite Hertha starting to press, it was Dortmund who opened the scoring. In the 27th minute of the first stage, Brandt crossed and Adeyemi completed the letter to open the scoring with a beautiful goal.
Five minutes later, it was Malen’s turn to score for Dortmund. After receiving a cross from Adeyemi, the Dutchman only had to hit the back of the net and confirm the 2-0 in the first half.
On the way back from the break, Hertha went all out for the attack. In the first move of the second stage, Tousart received the ball from Serdar in the area and finished high, with no chances for goalkeeper Kobel.
After a bad start in the second half, Dortmund managed to react with a free kick by Reus. The team captain hit perfectly and extended the visitors’ advantage again, in the 32nd minute.
Already at 45, Bynoe-Gittens served Brandt at the entrance to the area. The midfielder faced goalkeeper Christensen and hit well, closing the score at 4-1.
