The game
Leicester started the best in the duel. Eight minutes into the game, Barnes equalized with Iheanacho and was in front of the goal, but De Gea closed the angle well and made the save. The goalkeeper saved United again at 20, after Iheanacho’s header in the corner.
After the pressure, the home team managed to respond. Rashford received a pass from behind the opposing defense and shot across to score United’s first goal in the 25th minute.
In the second half, the Manchester team took over the match for good. After pressing in the opening minutes, rashford received a deep pass and won in the defense’s speed, hitting goalkeeper Ward on the way out and scoring the second, at 11.
Six minutes later, it was Sancho’s turn to make his mark. The forward tackled Bruno Fernandes in the area and finished well to score United’s third goal. The player still had a great chance at 25, but Faes managed to stop the kick.
