Bellator head reveals plans for Emelianenko’s farewell fight

Bellator CEO Scott Coker shared his plans for a farewell fight between Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Fedor Emelianenko. Reported by MMA Junkie.

Cocker announced that he plans to organize another Bellator tournament in Moscow, where the Last Emperor’s farewell duel will take place. The head of the promotion admitted that he was impressed by Emelianenko’s performance in a fight with Timothy Johnson.

“It was something special – to see Fedor, who at the age of 45 breaks through a spectacular combination, as if he was 20 years younger. That was incredible. It was like we saw the ending of the Rocky movie. Therefore, we want to see a sequel. Perhaps next summer, “Cocker said.

On October 23, Emelianenko knocked out Johnson at the first Bellator tournament in Moscow. The Russian heavyweight finished his opponent in the first round.

Emelianenko is known for his performances in Rings, Pride, Strikeforce and Bellator.
