Two-time Olympic figure skating champion Evgeni Plushenko appreciated the possibility of Russians performing under a neutral flag. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“When they say that the performance of athletes under a neutral flag is a betrayal, I just laugh. The sports age is very short, if there is an opportunity to compete, you need to use it, ”he said. Plushenko called it a good chance and added that everyone will already know which country the athletes represent.
