Two-time world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva answered a question about the future. Her words are quoted by TASS.
“I really don’t have a great desire to coach yet, because there are other areas for development. So far, the coaching career is not particularly interesting, but it was interesting to talk with the kids and remember myself at their age, as she herself performed, ”she said. Medvedeva added that she is now a regular participant in the Ice Age TV show, and also comments on international tournaments.
Earlier, Medvedeva explained why she decided to end her career. “I objectively looked at myself from the outside – assessed whether I can or can’t in terms of physical capabilities,” she said and added that she wants to take care of her health.
Medvedeva is a two-time world and European champion. At the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, the figure skater won two silver medals – in team competitions and in the individual competition. In 2021, she announced that she had effectively retired.
