Fernando Llorente retires as a footballer, at the age of 37

Fernando llorentewho was without a team since he left the eibar last summer of 2022, retires as a footballer at 37 years old (he will turn 38 on the 26th), as confirmed by the player himself.
“No, no. I already have it clear,” Llorente replied, on a television channel, when asked about the possibility of returning to the pitch, where he has not been since June. “I keep fit by playing paddle tennis”, he added.
The former striker trained as a footballer at the Athletic, whose first team he joined, led by Ernesto Valverde, midway through the 2004-05 season. He remained at the Bilbao club until the end of the 2012-13 campaign, with a balance of 333 games played, in which he scored 118 goals. With the rojiblanco team, he became runner-up in the Europa League in 2012 and the Cup in 2009 and 2012.
Subsequently, Llorente began a career with the following teams: Juventus (between 2013 and 2015), Seville (2015-2016), Swansea City (2016-2017), Tottenham (2017-2019), Naples (2019-2020), Udinese ( 2020-2021) and Eibar, in the 2021-22 season.
international with Euskal Selekzioa (five times) and with the Spain team (24 games), he has completed a brilliant career, with these Titles: As an international player, he won the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012; As a club player, he has won the Italian League three times, two Italian Cups and one Europa League.
