The sports doctor said that the bruise on the arm of Islam Makhachev does not prove a violation of the rules
Sports doctor Valentin Belyavsky assessed the accusations of Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Islam Makhachev of using a banned drip before the title fight with Australian Alexander Volkanovski at the UFC 284 tournament, Sports.ru reports.
According to him, the bruise on the arm of the Russian could remain from any legal injections. “It can last up to three days – sometimes even longer. Makhachev could have donated blood himself two or three days before the fight. Or inject some drug up to 100 milliliters, ”Belyavsky said. The doctor stressed that the marks on the hands cannot be evidence of a violation of the rules.
