On the eve of the clash against RB Salzburg, coach José Mourinho and striker Paulo Dybala left it open what their destinations will be at the end of the season. In a press conference, the two did not guarantee that they will continue in the Roma from the middle of the year.
“To speak in June is too late,” said Mourinho. Despite having a contract until 2024, the Portuguese wants to meet with the board before the end of the season to discuss plans for the coming years. In case he doesn’t get the guarantee of a competitive team, the coach can leave from July.
According to the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG are some of the clubs paying attention to Mourinho’s situation at Roma. It is worth remembering that the coach’s manager is Jorge Mendes, known for managing the careers of several Portuguese players.

Dybala’s situation is more complex. The striker, who arrived at Roma in mid-2022, still has two more years left on his contract with the club. However, his contract has a termination fine of 20 million euros (R$ 112 million at current prices) for clubs outside Italy, if any are interested in the Argentine.
So far, no team has even formalized a proposal for the 29-year-old athlete. But if Roma fail to qualify for the next Champions League, Dybala’s departure may become more likely. “I don’t know what will happen”, said the player about his future.
Before worrying about possible departures, Roma is preparing for the Round of 16 phase of the Europa League. The Italian team traveled to Austria to face RB Salzburg, in a game that will take place this Thursday, at 2:45 pm (Brasília time).
