TVE now does ‘recognize’ Kosovo

As already happened in the first leg played in The Cartuja, the Kosovo – Spain of this Wednesday celebrated in Pristina also had its crumb. The Spanish government does not recognize the former province of Serbia as a country and this, as happened in the duel disputed a few months ago, meant that during the broadcast of TVE the commentators had to make incidents to avoid mentioning the “territory”. Although they ended up broadcasting the anthem and even reflecting on the scoreboard the abbreviation of the country in capital letters.

Everything indicated that TVE would do the paripé to bypass Kosovo but finally rectified with respect to what happened in the first leg played last March. The anthem of the former province of Serbia could be seen on television and unlike what happened last March, the abbreviation of the “territory” yes it appeared as uppercase (KOS). In La Cartuja the chain edited the marker to appear in lowercase (kos).
