Benfica and Borussia Dortmund take advantage in the first legs of the round of 16

Benfica and Borussia Dortmund took a step forward to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Champions League after beat Bruges and Chelsea respectively the first legs of the round of 16 this Wednesday, February 15.

In the main dish of the day Borussia Dortmund beat Chelsea with a result of 0-1. The match was even, with chances for both teams, but the German team took the win thanks to goal by Karim Adeyemi in the 63rd minute. Chelsea had good chances, especially through Joao Félix and Enzo Fernández, but they couldn’t break through the rival goal.

On the other hand, Benfica put their pass to the quarterfinals on track with a 0-2 victory against Club Brugge on his visit to Belgium. Joao Mario scored from a penalty the first goal for the Portuguese team in minute 53 and David Neres rounded off the win with the goal that materialized in minute 88.
