With an important sequence, Gabriel Magalhães can complete 100 games for Arsenal

The Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhães has been the highlight of the Arsenal. With the exception of goalkeeper Ramsdale, he is the only player to play every game for the full 90 minutes in the Premier League. This Wednesday, in the duel against Manchester City, he could complete 100 games with the shirt of the Gunners.

“Reaching a significant milestone like this, 100 games for Arsenal, one of the biggest clubs in world football, is very special. A huge honor, a feeling of inexplicable joy. I am very grateful to everyone at the club for the way I have always been treated, since my first day in London”, said the Brazilian.

Since arriving at the club in 2020 from Lille-FRA, the defender has 99 games, 10 goals scored and an assist.

The derby between Arsenal and Manchester City is scheduled at 4:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Emirates Stadium, in a delayed game of the 12th round of the Premier League. The clash puts the leaders of the national tournament face to face. Mikel Arteta’s team has 51 points and is at the top, while Guardiola’s team comes next, with 48.

Gabriel Magalhães highlighted the importance of the team and emphasized the confidence he has in his team.

“We treat every match as a decision, but, of course, due to the situation of the two teams, this game is very important. We are having a great season and we are very confident in the strength of our squad. We’ve had recent setbacks, it’s true, but we’ve been working over the last few days to correct those mistakes and win again”, he declared.

Highlight in Arsenal’s good season

Gabriel Magalhães has been one of those responsible for Arsenal’s good season. He participated in 29 of the 30 games for the team led by Mikel Arteta in the period, 27 of them as a starter. The team holds the second best defense mark, with 18 goals conceded, behind only Newcastle, which has 13.

Seeking the Premier League title, which has not been won since the 2003/2004 season, Arsenal have, so far, 16 wins, three draws and only two defeats.
