Manchester has set a deadline for submission of bids until Friday 17 February at 10:00 pm. However, proposals that come in after the deadline will also be considered. The takeover of the Old Trafford club by the Qataris must also be approved by the Premier League. According to the media, activists from the Middle East may face opposition because human rights are violated in their country, which does not please the English.
