The Russian Football Union (RFU) told Lente.ru that representatives of the Football National League (FNL) are in touch with Yaroslavl Shinnik after a conflict with the Transcarpathian club Minai in a Turkish hotel. This is how the RFU reacted to the fight between Russian and Ukrainian football players.

On the morning of February 14, it became known that the players of the Russian and Ukrainian teams staged a mass brawl in the Turkish Royal Seginus hotel, where they lived at the same time. According to preliminary data, the incident occurred on the evening of Monday, February 13.

“The Russian Football Union is aware of the situation at the training camp of the Yaroslavl “Shinnik”. We proceed from the fact that the organizers of training camps and the relevant hotel services must ensure the safety of the teams at the training camp, ”the RFU said.

The union also noted that their colleagues from the Football National League (FNL) are currently in touch with Shinnik and, if necessary, will assist the club in resolving issues related to the incident at the hotel.

The press officer of the Yaroslavl team, Igor Merezhin, said that several people were injured during the brawl, but they had no serious health problems.

Later it became known that the players of the Yaroslavl “Shinnik” will move to another Turkish hotel after a fight with the players of the Transcarpathian “Minaj”.
