This Monday, Real Sociedad beat Espanyol by 3 to 2, in a match valid for the 21st round of the spanish championship. The goals of the duel at the RCDE Stadium were scored by Takefusa Kubo, Alexander Sorloth and Leandro Cabrera (own goal). Sergi Darder and Brian Oliván scored for the hosts.
With the result, Real Sociedad remains in third place in Espanyol, with 42 points, three behind Real Madrid, who still plays in the round. On the other hand, Espanyol, who completed their third consecutive match without winning, remain in 17th place, with 21 points, one more than Valencia, first in the relegation zone.
The two teams return to the field this weekend, for the 22nd round of La Liga. On Saturday, at 10 am (Brasília time), Real Sociedad faces Celta de Vigo, at the Anoeta Stadium. On Sunday, also at 10 am, Espanyol will visit Elche, at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium.

The game
The visitors had the best chances in the first half. In the 23rd minute, Takefusa Kubo dominated inside the area and made a beautiful shot in the corner of Álvaro Fernandéz’s goal to open the scoring.
In the second half, at 6 minutes, Alexander Sorloth received it in the small area and only pushed for the goal. At 17 minutes, Kubo lifted the ball in the area and defender Leandro Cabrera, who was trying to clear the ball, headed it into his own goal, marking the third for the visitors.
