Surrounded by the 2006 Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov, they assessed the likelihood of new operations for the skater. It is reported by RBC.

The source said that the decision on the need for new operations for the 46-year-old athlete will be made at the beginning of this week. He stressed that Kostomarov can communicate and is conscious for most of the day.

On February 9, Channel Five reported that Kostomarov could have his hands amputated due to progressive necrosis. It was noted that doctors are trying to save living tissue on the athlete’s limbs in order to prevent another operation.

On February 7, the skater had his left foot amputated. Later it became known that doctors feared for the condition of Kostomarov’s right leg. Doctors are doing everything possible to save it, despite the death of the tissue.
