Already qualified for the under-20 World Cup, Brazil needed to beat Uruguay to become champions of the tournament for the 12th time. Andrey opened the scoring in the 38th minute of the second half and, in the 46th minute, in a counterattack move, Pedrinho extended the lead.
With 13 points gained, one more than Uruguay, Brazil finishes the hexagonal in first place and with an undefeated campaign. In the first phase, there were three wins and a draw and, in the hexagonal, four triumphs in five games, with the best attack and the best defense of the tournament.
The next big commitment of the Brazilian under-20 team is the World Cup to be played in May, in Indonesia. Uruguay, Colombia and Ecuador also secured a spot for the championship.
