Brazilian Pepê scores and Porto beats Sporting away from home for the Portuguese

This Saturday, the Porto went to Lisbon to visit Sporting, in a match valid for the 20th round of the Portuguese Championship. The duel ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors, with goals from Uribe and Pepê. Chermiti scored for the home team.

After the victory, Porto, who host Rio Ave in the next round, remain in second place and reached 48 points, five behind leader Benfica. Sporting, who are visiting Chaves, are fourth with 38 points and dream of qualifying for the Champions League.

The match between two of the main teams in Portuguese football was, unsurprisingly, quite disputed and evenly matched. Both teams created chances and had a similar level of play, with ball possession and similar number of shots on goal.

Even playing away from home, Porto did not feel the pressure and reached the first goal at 20 of the second half, after a beautiful individual move by Uribe, who cleared the scoring and shot in the corner, with no chances for goalkeeper Adán.

In the end, the Porto expanded the scoreboard with the Brazilian Pepê, formerly of Grêmio. There was still time for Sporting to take advantage of Chermiti, who even had a goal annulled by the video referee.
