Former Russian figure skater Korovin described his performance for the Philippines national team in one word
Former Russian figure skater Alexander Korovin, who now represents the Philippines in a pair with Isabella Gomez, spoke about playing for the new national team. His words are quoted by Sport-Express.
“[Слово] with the letter P. And this is not the word “bad,” ”he described the duet’s rental at the Four Continents Championship.
Korovin shared that every time the couple fails at competitions.
“Maybe we need joint experience, but this cannot be solved by experience alone. I only have in my head that stable training is needed with the team, with a couples coach who will give tasks for a reason, to roll – not to roll, but to correct me at least, ”added the athlete.
Korovin changed citizenship in 2021. The Four Continents Championships, in which they finished in penultimate ninth place, was the pair’s debut in major international tournaments. The main achievement of the duo is the victory at the Philippine Championship 2023.
