Bayern beats Bochum with ease to extend lead at the top

This Saturday, in Munich, the Bayern received Bochum at the Alianz Arena in a game valid for the 20th round of the Bundesliga. The match ended with a 3-0 victory for the hosts, goals from Muller, Coman and Gnabry.

O Bayern is the leader of the German Championship and needed to win to increase the advantage over Union Berlin, in second place. For this, he received Bochum, the first team outside the relegation zone, and managed to impose himself with ease.

The game

By having a much superior team and still having the support of its fans, Bayern Munich did not find it difficult to dominate the match and possession of the ball, imposing its pace on the 15th place in the Bundesliga.

However, the goal took a little longer than expected to come out. Only in the 41st minute of the first half did the hosts manage to push the ball into the net, with him, Thomas Muller.

The German took advantage of the Bochum defense’s mistake, cleared the defender and the goalkeeper and pushed the ball into the empty goal, from outside the area: 1-0 for Bayern and party at the Allianz Arena.

Bochum didn’t scare the home team during the first half, but they suffered and almost went to the break with a bigger disadvantage.

On the way back to the second half, the teams didn’t change the match script much. Bayern kept pressing and reached the second goal with Kingsley Coman, who received it inside the area, kicked hard between the legs of the opposing goalkeeper and left to celebrate.

With the match practically over, the Munich team kept pressing and managed to score the third goal, which closed the scoreboard for good, with Serge Gnabry, from the penalty spot.

Now Bayern faces Borussia Mönchengladbach, away from home, while Bochum receives Freiburg, for the 21st round of the Bundesliga.
