Ancelotti denies agreement to take over the Brazilian national team: “I have a contract until 2024”

The CBF’s search for a name for the command of the Selection continues. After Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was mentioned again as one of the possible candidates for the position, the coach himself denied the possibility this Friday.

“I have not heard. The situation is simple, I have a contract until 2024″, said the Italian, in a press conference before the final of the Club World Cup, against Al-Hilal.

Ancelotti’s name gained strength again to take over Brazil after the ESPN released an article stating that the coach had already said “yes” to the CBF. The Real Madrid commander would leave the club in the middle of the year to take over the national team, with a contract valid until the 2026 World Cup.

For now, the position left by Tite remains vacant. With the first Fifa Date of the year in March, the CBF will need to get ahead to get a name until Brazil returns to the pitch. The qualifiers for the next Cup are scheduled to start in June.
