Former Austrian national football team player Kahraman shot dead on the street in Vienna
Former Austrian national football team player Volkan Kahraman was shot dead in the street. It is reported by the Mirror.
“Austria wishes the mourners, especially his family and close friends, much strength. Rest in peace, Volkan, ”the capital club, for which the athlete played in 2003, said in a statement. Condolences were also expressed by the Dutch “Excelsior”, which Kahraman replenished in 1995.
According to the publication, on Wednesday evening, the 43-year-old football player quarreled with a former business partner near a bar in Vienna. The attacker shot the athlete, and then committed suicide.
Kahraman played for the Austrian junior team for several years. Together with “Austria” he twice won the championship and the Austrian Cup. After retiring in 2009, Kahraman coached Austrian teams and was also involved in politics.
