Personal trainer and sports physiologist Nikita Skripnik spoke about the dangers of playing sports with a hangover. The specialist spoke in an interview with a Lenta.ru correspondent.

According to him, at such a moment the level of fluid in the body is critically low, the pressure is lowered. “The risks of exacerbating existing diseases of the cardiovascular system are multiplying. The same applies to diseases of the nervous system. Even if serious health consequences can be avoided, there will be no benefit from such training, ”said Skripnik.

The coach also gave advice to those who did not drink much on the eve of training and are ready for physical activity in the morning. “In such cases, I recommend reducing the intensity of the session by about 30 percent, it should become medium or low. It would also be reasonable to reduce the training time. Most importantly, in such a situation, it is doubly important to fight dehydration, so drinking plenty of water is a must, ”said Skripnik.

In early January, narcologist Alexei Kazantsev gave advice on how to deal with a hangover. According to him, in this case, replenishment of the body’s water balance is most effective.
