Dominik Hasek says NHL player Pastrnak needs to explain removal of photo with Ovechkin
Olympic champion, two-time Stanley Cup winner Dominik Hasek appreciated the removal by the Czech striker of the National Hockey League (NHL) Boston Bruins club David Pastrnak of a photo with the Russian captain of the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin. His words are quoted by Expres.cz.
“Good thing he removed it. But it would be nice if he wrote something more about it,” Hasek said. He felt that Pastrnak needed to explain his act without going into details, as the Czech fans would appreciate it.
Ovechkin and Pastrnak took a photo together during the NHL All-Star Game, which took place on February 3 and 4. Cech received a backlash from followers, after which he deleted the photo.
On February 5, Hasek criticized the participation of the Russians in the NHL All-Star Game. The athlete refused to consider the match a holiday and called the presence of Russian hockey players at the event disgusting advertising.
