Cypriot club “Karmiotissa” presented Alexander Kerzhakov as head coach
The Cypriot club “Karmiotissa” introduced the former Russian national team player Alexander Kerzhakov as a new head coach. This is reported on the team’s page at Twitter.
The European club announced the appointment of a Russian to the post by publishing a video in which young Kerzhakov looks at a video with his goals. “Hi all. I’m ready, let’s do it, ”the specialist says at the end of the recording.
The upcoming appointment of Kerzhakov became known on February 6. “Yes it’s true. We are very pleased that Karmiotissa has acquired such a specialist, ”said Antonis Antoniou, technical director of the team.
Kerzhakov is a three-time Russian champion with Zenit and the top scorer of the national team. After retiring in the summer of 2017, he coached the Tom and Nizhny Novgorod clubs, as well as the Russian youth team.
